About
I am a teaching Visual Artist from Miami, Florida who is currently living in Greenville, South Carolina. I teach students in grades K-12 as well as adults at all skill-levels in a range of artistic mediums. My experience as Art educator began teaching Elementary Art in Clearwater, Florida in 2019. Now, I am currently teaching Fine Art as a High School Teacher for Greenville County Schools.
My passion for the Arts began as a young girl, learning from my first teacher, my mother. As a an artist, I have studied as many art forms as possible, from Visual Arts to Dance, Theater, Literature and Art History. Creativity and expressive movement, I learned early on, were critical to my well-being and personal development. In grade school, I excelled in drawing and painting and I have continued to pursue my Fine Arts studies to where I am today.
Experienced in multiple traditional 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional mediums from drawing, painting, mixed-media, printmaking and ceramics, I continue to refine my portfolio attending classes and workshops to learn new techniques and processes.
Teaching Art, as a profession particularly suits me as a lifelong learner myself who is constantly evolving. The more I teach, the more I realize that I have yet to learn and I would not wish it any other way. I enjoy growing and improving with my students as a person and as an educator who prioritizes high quality experiences and relationships as a means to success.
